Crystalline silica is a naturally occurring mineral and can be commonly found in various rocks, sand, quartzite, and granite. Unfortunately, inhaling tiny particles of crystalline silica can put workers at risk of developing silicosis - a debilitating, irreversible, and sometimes fatal lung disease. In this course, we will delve into the new provisions and focus on implementing effective control measures to eliminate or minimize exposure to safe levels and safeguard the health of workers exposed to crystalline silica.
